In Holdem
winning a hand is not the only aim. but when you play and win
the hand do it handsomly. if you think you may loose you should
not be a big looser. here are the following tips that may be
help full to you.
Play aggressively with high pairs and very strong hands
before the flop.
Always draw for the higher end of a straight. If a
flop has T 9 8 you should draw for QJ not for 6 7 or not
even for J and 7.
Play starting low pairs (66 down to 22) cautiously.
Use positional play in this case.
Play aggressively when you have a two way draw after
the flop. If you can make a straight AND a flush or trips
etc., usually bet/raise your hand.
Don’t play every time you have an ace in your hand;
you may play an ace if it is accompanied by another card
of the same suit or by a ten or higher.
Watch out for uniform flops, like 8 7 6, they can easily
turn into straights that can overtake your high pair or
other good hand.
Check the raisers chips. Players that are close to
all-in often rush the betting just to get all their chips
in a sink-or-swim last hand.
Beware of Suited Flops that can make a completed flush.
In this case, you should usually hold the nut in that suit,
or have trips or two pair that can fill up.
Don't be too predictable. Once in a while do bluff
and get caught.
Read opponents and table. You should read your opponents
and table. This will help you develop a strategy. Read their
playing style and skills. Do not matter you are playing
the hand or not. If you get the other player style you can
play accordingly.
Don't Play Too many hands. Unconnected Medium and Low
Cards are usually Unplayable.
Learn Some Odds for winning handsomely you should have
knowledge of odds.
Don't Get Trapped. You should not be trapped until
the show down.
Play In Good Games. Play in the game that suits your
skill level and bankroll. Progress slowly and build a nice
fat bankroll so even you get hammered a few days or even
weeks you'll be fine.
